Why People Choose Us?

Projects vary widely depending on your needs and budget- even the area your project is in can have an effect. For instance, Seattle's permit fees are higher than Tumwater or Tacoma and that adds to the total cost of your system. Our representatives talk with you to better understand your needs and the projects requirements. At Empire Fire Protection we do more than give you a quote. We provide you with the information you need to make the right decisions for your project. We strive to be the #1 fire sprinkler contractor in Tacoma, Seattle and Bellevue, and our representatives take time to explain the details regarding what will be involved, and help you take the next steps in moving forward.
Projects vary widely depending on the home being built or remodeled. A new home fire sprinkler system in Tacoma with adequate city water can average around $3.00 / square foot, but no two homes are the same. There will always be costs that do not scale as evenly, such as design and permitting, and there are other factors to consider as well; like if you need a pump and tank to meet the water supply demands if you're off the beaten path in Unincorporated King County, Black Diamond, or Gig Harbor (for example). Our team is happy to provide you with a free estimate or consultation, and will walk you through the process of getting your system installed.
Our representatives will review your plans and follow up with a few questions such as project timeline or water supply line information. After the initial phone call, our team will get to work pricing out your project. When you have received the estimate, we will take the time to answer all your questions and go over the details of your project with you, such as inclusions, exclusions, and what other trades may need to be involved to get the sprinkler system fully operational.
There has been an increase in inquiries about PEX piping installations in the past few years. At Empire Fire Protection, we do not install PEX piping, period. It is well known among the fire protection industry that CPVC piping is a proven product superior to PEX, due to its flame-resistant properties and specific application design. Another challenge with PEX, is that it is often tied into your domestic plumbing system. At first, this may not seem all that bad; until your domestic plumbing needs maintenance and now your sprinkler system is non-operational. If a fire starts when you or your next contractor has the water turned off, you will be unprotected.
Yes! With our state certified ITT technicians, we are able to provide a full line of fire sprinkler systems testing and inspections. Tired of getting charged return trip fees to fix system deficiencies? With our forward looking approach, our Journey level fitters are often times able to provide you, or an authorized representative, pricing on the spot to correct any system deficiencies the day of inspection. This ensures that reports will be submitted as deficiency free, saving you the headache and wasted money in return trip costs. Annual inspections, 5-years, Standpipe Inspections to name a few- and coming in late May 2024, we will offer Backflow Inspections as well.

Design

Our team of engineers get to work on your project after we receive .cad backgrounds and .pdf drawings. In the case of existing buildings, we will need to visit the site. If it's new construction, we can get to work right away. After the design is complete, plans are submitted to you and the authorities for permitting.

Our team's project manager who is assigned to your project will reach out to schedule an installation date with you. Material is procured and sent to the site on the day we begin installation. Our timelines vary and are dependent on project type and size. Once we have water on the system, and everything else that needs to be complete is done, we will call for a cover inspection.

After everything is painted, but before you move in furniture, we will call for a final inspection. On most projects, we will install sprinkler trim the same day of the final inspection, as it is a relatively quick process. Once your system is signed off, we will follow up with any closeout documents for you to keep in your records.
